Slumber Party Bunker Clubhouse installation featuring Rachel Libeskind

installation + performance. 3537 - Paris - May 2023

hallway

I set up this 7-channel installation in the ITP hallway in the Spring of 2012. Each screen is looping through a video from a different section of the trip, moving from west to east down the hallway.

This video is the aggregation of video footage I took riding an amtrak train from LA to New York

This was part of a show at 319 Scholes. It uses more abstract imagery from the same train trip which informed the two works above

WORMHOLE FOLLIES

Wormhole Follies is a video-based performance of multidimentional proportions. Two adventurous surfers journey through time and space to find the best waves. The performance was designed for the IAC building in New York City, as part of ITP's Big Screens screening on March 1st 2013.
The performance featured a custom-build "teleportation machine" that transported us from the stage to the screen as we traveled across the multiverse. Inside of our "teleportation machine" we controlled various video effects in real time with custom software written in openFrameworks (C++). All of the video footage was shot by us, with various cameras from iPhones to Canon 5Ds. Live music was provided by Thomas Cooper.
In addition to the performance, an iOS app was created that allows users to play with the same video effects we developed for our performance.
Collaborators: Johann Diedrick, Thomas Cooper
Involvement: Concept, design, production, programming
Exhibition:ITP Big Screens Show 2012 (rescheduled to 2013), IAC Building, New York, NY
